Omi's Video Game Vault: Kagero: Deception II
Released for the Playstation 1 in 1998. Developed and published by Tecmo. The sequel to Deception: Invitation to Darkness. This game shifts from a first-person to a third-person perspective. This would be the series staple from here on out,and it works SO much better in third-person. This time, you control a human named Millennia, who's being used by a race of beings known as Timenoids (TMD). The general premise is the same as the first game: Place various traps and kill any hapless humans that come to invade your castle. However, this time your traps can interact with each other to create combos! Buy new traps and enhance them further to make them even more effective as you go. This was a straight up improvement to the first game in every way. Did the first couple chapters, dealing with some victims.
