After the Brainstern boss,we change perspectives to Jacques now. He's been taken to Samanosuke's time period. Head down the path and eventually he'll get a scene where his son is in danger,and he'll get an Oni Gauntlet of his own! His weapon is the Oni Whip. Use it to take out the large demon here and get used to how Jacques attacks with it. After it's dead,turns out his son there was actually an Oni in disguise,and he wants Jacques to fight the demons here and help Samanosuke. He gives him a fairy thing called Ako to help. She can open certain chests from afar,and acts as a translator device. Fight your way through the following areas,and eventually you'll run into...Samanosuke? It's actually his past self,time travel and all. Help him clear the area and he'll join you,then grab the chests from the area. Ahead the 2 will split up at a monument,head right. Ahead is a cliff,open the chest to release an Oni Firefly. These serve as grapple points for Jacques and his whip. When you reach the statue area,one of the chests here has a Bronze Mirror in it. Take this back to the monument and use it,and you'll get Jacques first real weapon,the fiery Enja chain sword! Test it out on the ninja things that pop out to attack.
