Open and Explore a Single Frame | Graphics Frame Analyzer Deep Dive | Part 4 | Intel Software
This video demonstrates how to open and explore a single frame, while highlighting user interface features in the single frame view of Graphics Frame Analyzer. This will aid in detecting bottlenecks in the graphics pipeline while analyzing GPU-bound applications.
This video gives an overview of each panel in the single-frame view of Graphics Frame Analyzer. In the main toolbar, you can view a variety of statistical information on your single frame in the top left-hand side of the tool. In the visualization settings toolbar, you can configure the data that’s displayed in the bar chart panel and in the API log. In the API log panel, you can view the API log which displays a list of all functions in their GPU execution order as well as parameters passed to each function. In this panel, you can view the three other tabs including the Pixel History tab, the Resource History tab, and the Frame Statistics tab. In the Resource Panel, you can view the resource list which displays all resources used by the selected graphics API functions. In the Metrics Panel, you can view metric information for the selected events, and if no events are selected it displays the total value for the entire frame. This panel has four different tabs including the 3D Pipeline tab, the Compute Pipeline tab, the Current Selection tab, and the Full Frame tab.
