Day 6 of Orcs Must Die! 2 launch party! In today's episode we find more people that want us to kill Orcs??? O-o Oh, and Sappers are apparently too heavy to be Spring trapped, which kinda complicates the matter of actually disabling Sappers. Charming them doesn't work too well either because of their eccentric running patterns.
The level in general is three paths, and even though it looks like it should all be down the middle, they actually climb the stairs and go towards the rifts on the balcony, necessitating the need for barricades. Of course, the game compensates for that by throwing an obscene amount of sappers your way just to deal with this.
In hindsight, I probably would have had a bit more luck if I put the barricades at the bottom of the stairs instead of the top. This would give me slightly more wiggle room to work with against the sappers, I feel.
In terms of co-op, I think the level would best be done with one person covering the bottom choke and another covering the top to deal with sappers and straggler. The person on the balcony can provide supporting fire below if need be and help trigger manual traps like boulder chutes and the lava crucible.
