Oreste Luppi (Bass) (Roma 1870 - Milano 1962)
He trained at the Rome Conservatory He made his debut in 1892 at the Theatre in Foligno. His main houses were La Scala, the Constanzi, Regio in Turin, Genoa, Florence and Naples. He was the first Prince Gremin in the 1900 La Scala premier of “Eugene Onegin.” Luppi created a number of roles, but his most important creation was in Mascagni’s “Le Maschere.” Luppi also guested outside of Italy, including Covent Garden and the Teatro Colon. After finishing his career he taught singing in Milan. He later lived in Milan at the "Casa di Riposo G.Verdi", where he died.

Oreste Luppi (1876-1962), né à Rome, fit ses études au conservatoire de cette ville, et débuta à 22 ans. Il se produisit dans les théâtres de province et débuta à la Scala en 1899 dans Ludovico d’Otello aux cotés de Tamagno. Il chanta au Covent Garden, en Amérique du Sud et dans les principales villes d’Italie
