In my quest to produce a physical version of Encounter I needed to be able to easily duplicate floppies. One commonly used method is to use a Greaseweazle (or Kryoflux or equivalent) with a PC, but since I had a working Oric disc system I wanted to try the equivalent using the Oric to do the same thing.

This video shows how to boot on the gotek with a Sedoric 3 virtual floppy (in HFE format generated by the HxC tools you can find at https://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_drive_emulator/index.html) and use the BACKUP A TO B command to make a duplicate of the Sedoric system disk.

Unfortunately the BACKUP command only works with floppies in the SEDORIC format (or at least any format it can recognize) so it will not work with the Floppy Builder based projects (like Encounter or Blake's 7) but at least that gives a baseline to validate that the system is working.

The next step is to get a working software to duplicate any floppy no matter what the format is (like the X-Copy on Amiga or Fast Copy on the Atari ST)
