Our Teddy Ruxpin is finally playing custom hacked audio π§Έππ οΈπποΈπ§π€π±π‘
95After many hours over the last week of poking and prodding at the Teddy Ruxpin audio32 file format we finally got a converted wave file playing. we had to fish our nexus 7 tablet out of a pile and recharge it overnight to run some code we found for changing the audio on a different toy https://github.com/pdjstone/cloudpets-web-bluetooth/blob/master/cp_encode.py - the linked library required an arm android device running API 22 which means nothing higher than android 5.x! but after a apk and adb noodling and a little hex-editor surgery we've got this playing our voice instead of the built in audio file. whew! we'll be doing a write-up soon including all the things that didn't work. we'll also try to figure out and document how to get the audio encoded without using a 10-year-old tablet.
