I used a JVC Adixxion GC-XA1 action camcorder to digitally record this video in 1080p. The JVC GC-XA1 was a black friday special that I got for 199.00. I forgot to take off the clear lense cover during the first six minutes of filming, leaving this portion of the video a little blurry. The remaining video is in 1080P, no lense protector and looks really sharp. I did find a FAQ that stated that the best results would be without the lense protector. I have seen several video samples on the internet where the video was pretty bad, I assume they all left the clear lense cover on while recording. My side by side is a Polaris Ranger RZR 570 UTV and is quite a capable machine, it's only limitation appears to be the newbie driving it, (me :) ). Much of the video was shot following a friend of mine in his 66 Ford Bronco. I do not recommend riding with your Jeeping buddies, the little RZR likes going faster and the slower speeds may cause the UTV to have heating problems. This trail is called Saguaro Lake Coves and is also known as Butcher Jones, it is near Saguaro Lake in Arizona. There are quite a few steep hills out there, those in the video are tame compared to some of the others. It is a great place to practice as there are many trails and various kinds of terrain. The video was edited using Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X5, which I managed to get on sale for 54.00. The Ulimate package is the way to go as you get additional plug-ins, transitions and filters.
