Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast - Xbox Vs PC *REDUX* in 60 fps
14.... Well, 50% of the video is in 60 fps, the PC version that is.
This is a partially remade video, with entirely new PC gameplay. In the original version of this video, I didn't pan back and forth between the audio of the two different games like I normally do for some reason. At the time I uploaded I thought I'd managed to sync up the music between the two OK, but I watched the original video again last night and realised that the music was just ever so slightly out of sync, enough for it to sound like there was some weird reverb effect occurring and distorting the audio in a not pleasant way and enough for me to want to do something about it.
At first I was just going to remove the original video's soundtrack and replace it with music only, but then I thought it would be simple enough to just record some more PC Outrun 2 gameplay and then just use that as the sole audio track. So I did. I even managed to get a slightly better time than I did in the original, although I still manage to cock up a tiny bit on the final stage.
I was only able to video capture the Xbox version of Coast 2 Coast in 30 fps. Normally both games would be running at the same frame-rate, i.e 60fps. The video rendering seems to have added a little extra bit of chugginess to the Xbox's frame-rate here from time-to-time.
