And HERE's the other main choice you have for Arcade-style, full-on Pachinko action! I don't honestly know how well this game did back in its heyday, but it was successful enough to get an (questionably better) sequel a year later. Released in 1998 by Sammy Studios (yes, the same studio best known for iterations of "Guilty Gear" in collaboration with Arc System Works), it is the younger sister series to their mid 90s "Mahjong Hyper Reaction" games. Unlike Shoubu (DX), "Pachinko Sexy Reaction" is NOT censored by default and is jam-packed with slick animations of characters in various states of undress as you play with a "seemingly" reluctant gigolo who juggles various women with expensive tastes as he goes shopping with them to buy various skimpy outfits for them to wear. It was even popular enough to have an iteration of one of its characters appear in an obscure Doujin fighting game that was dug up not too long ago (Yuika Kimishima in "The Spirit Fighters 2000").

While a game like this could satisfy the average degenerate just by the great quality of its pixel graphics / animation and more than passable soundtrack and spoken bits, this title has a shockingly competent iteration of Pachinko attached to it as well. If you're not familiar with Pachinko, there isn't a whole lot to say about the game itself; it's fundamentally like Pinball but on steroids and instead of utilizing skill via flippers, the player uses skill via a power slider which will determine the general trajectory of the ball, but the game has a greater reliance on luck and quantity of balls. A big part of playing Pachinko comes in the form of ball collision to help circumnavigate a large amount of pegs to help "guide" where you want to go, and different baby gimmicks will net you more balls and greater odds reaching the teen dream slot which will simulate a roulette on a typical gambling machine with luck netting you matching symbols which will thrust you into the one "true" big daddy dilemma (okay, it's a Payout or, if you're lucky, a "Super Chance" / Jackpot chance), which will result in a large bounty of balls and, subsequently, prizes. Other gimmicks will improve your odds and vary by game / machine, but true machines have their pegs moved around regularly so frequent players can never get too comfortable.

All of this culminates into an addictive time sink which has stood the test of time and a full-on video game adaptation could definitely crank the insanity up to an 11 out of 10. PSR is definitely what I would think of in the context of an Arcade game, though I would admittedly be too embarrassed to play this in public (maybe with a small group of like-minded degenerates) and I can't imagine anyone who would, but I digress. If you've read this far, you're probably wondering why this video is public and not age-restricted... and that's because the more mature aspects were edited out. There was no real reasoning for it other than I was too lazy to keep that content in and you can already find it in its entirety if you're a little ambitious. This is merely for our archives and to cross-reference an odd 22 year-old Doujin game. Keep in mind however that what was retained is still risque, so viewer discretion is advised.

PSR features five ladies who each need to be "bested" three times to see the game's conclusion. When in Payout mode, you go through several rounds which flash large-scale detailed ecchi images of the ladies. You can select which order to face the first three who serve as a warm-up to ease you into the mechanics, but the penultimate boss and final boss introduce new, more challenging elements to overcome and "greater" durability (Yuika is harder to damage rapidly and may survive a Payout round whereas the final boss has the hardest means to get to the payout round, but you can deal a ridiculous amount of "damage" once you do get there). The sequel features a significantly larger cast of ladies and more nuanced gameplay but the art is subjectively worse (it just doesn't bring the same appeal as Yumisuke Kotoyoshi's designs imo... he did "Saber Marionette J" among other things after all) with less frames of animation and the music is more compressed as a trade-off.

Either way, they're easily some of the finest Arcade pachinko games outside of the real deal in Japan's many dedicated parlors and shameless fun.
