This short film was a homework assignment for my video production class I took. For this assignment, our professor gave us a prompt and told us to film it. Here he was looking for continuity in our movies, for example, a shot of you picking up a penny in your right hand stays in the right hand in the next shot.

If I show me picking up the penny with my right hand and it ends up in my left in the next shot, this breaks continuity. It makes it for an inconsistent moment in the movie. It looks awkward. To keep continuity in the transfer of hands with the penny I need to show to my audience that I transferred the penny from my right hand to my left hand.

This assignment was to teach us continuity. It makes us be aware of what we shoot when it comes to props, setting, lighting, and actors. It's all how you visually tell the story, yet making sure it looks consistent.
