Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson has shown us some incredible never-before-seen footage of the Beatles recording and rehearsing 50 years ago.

A self-professed fan of the group, Peter restored the pictures from 57 hours of footage which had been sitting on "tins on a shelf" for half a century.
