We believe Early Access is a perfect tool to gather real player feedback and use it to make the game better. Developing a game, especially a large and complex one like Voidtrain, is always a long journey: we want to create the best possible experience while not leaving players aside for too long.
Even though there are many features and content planned for the future, the current version of Voidtrain is playable, well-polished and full of things to do, so welcome aboard your very own Interdimensional Express Train!”
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
“We are hoping to deliver the full version of the game in 2024, although timelines may be subject to change. Early Access is all about improvements, so we will leave it when we are confident that Voidtrain has reached its best possible state.”
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
“In addition to bug fixes and balance tweaks, we plan to enhance the game's core mechanics based on player feedback, add new story chapters with new locations, quests, enemies, and mechanics, and introduce additional side content to make Voidtrain more immersive, engaging, and diverse.”
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
“The game is playable both in solo and in online multiplayer mode for up to 4 players with a complete prologue and first chapter of the storyline, a train which you can upgrade up to the diesel era, several biomes with Witch Islands, Outposts and Arenas, challenging enemies, dozens of technologies to research, side quests, and much more. All of the core mechanics are already implemented into the game, so you’ll have everything to travel, build, craft and survive in the Void.”
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“The price might increase once we go 1.0, but we’re not sure about it just yet. We’ll update this section once the decision is made.”
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
“We will welcome any feedback and suggestions from the community here on the Steam Discussions board and on our Discord server.”
