'ANG TALENT NG PINOY PWEDE RIN PANTAPAT SA IBANG BANSA' 🇵🇭
A mecha toy designer built a four-feet action figure based on "Voltes V: Legacy", the Philippine adaptation of the hit Japanese animated series "Voltes V."
Kris Michaelson Morato, a toy collector and designer from Malolos, Bulacan, showcased on social media his finished work of the popular character that took him three months to create.
"Bilang Pinoy nakaka-proud na meron tayong ipagmamalaking teleserye na pang world-class at bilang support sa Voltes V Legacy, naisipan ko gumawa ng isang medyo hawig na Voltes V na gawang Pinoy," Morato said in an interview with the Philippine STAR.
Morato has been making action figures for three years and prefers used materials in his creations. His Voltes V model was made of rubber matting, a major component of his works, old pens, a mouse pad, sintra board, and wood.
He also has his own toy shop where he displays his collection and a YouTube channel where he gets positive comments from foreign viewers.
Morato also urged fellow toy enthusiasts to be resourceful in their craft.
At kahit .0001% makatulong tayo makabawas ng basura," he said.
