In this part, Phoenix finishes his line of thought on how Ms. Vasquez committed the murder and moved the body. Vasquez compliments Phoenix on his interesting theory, but denies that it's correct, because he's lacking decisive proof. Edgeworth seems convinced by Phoenix's theory, so he demands a second testimony from Vasquez. Vasquez slips up in her testimony, which reveals she knew of the murder beforehand. She tries to explain this mistake by saying she knew Jack Hammer was injured beforehand, but she has made a mistake, because it was Will Powers who was injured, not Jack Hammer...a mistake she could have made only if she saw Jack Hammer shortly before he died!
