What does axelrod777 do when his internet is down? He makes a video!

I've recently been playing Phoenix Wright for the DS and I'm hooked. It's an excellent game. Something different than a bloody shoot em up or yet another Mario Platformer, so it's refreshing. So when I wanted to do a song from the game I noticed there were already a few good ones up. I chose to do the final boss's theme (if that's what you could call him). His name is Damon Gant and the song's name is "Swimming, Anyone?"

I won't talk much about the composition part because I can't think of anything to say.

However there was a long process in the making of this video. After I got the midi (the previous day, before my internet died) I did the acutal song. Then when I went to record the pitch was increased and the tempo sped up from the acutal song. I didn't know how to fix it, so I worked with it. I recently downloaded Audacity, which is a great audio editing tool. I used it to record the audio of the song (in its sped up state) and then slow the song back to the original pitch and tempo. It came out surprisingly well. Then I did the usual editing, but in Audacity, which was fairly easy to work with. After I finished that, I recorded the video with CamStudio and then put both the finished audio and the video into WIndows Movie Maker and synchronised them as best as I could. You may notice I did a quick jump at some parts in the song to keep the audio and video together. In the end, it came out pretty well.

Enjoy!
