Pikmin 4 Demo
4In which, despite my awfulness at the game and general anxiety after a horrible time when I played Pikmin 1 as a kid, I check out the Pikmin 4 Demo solely because Puppy and I wanted to create a character (the colors and hairstyle options were lacking though).
I actually had a lot more fun with this over when I tried the Pikmin 3 demo (or when I played Pikmin 1, we don't talk about that), though, I still don't think I'll get it. The timer stresses me out and unless a mode was added to remove it, I just can't actually relax while playing-- I get enough stress from the enemies. But it does mean I really like the Underground areas where time is a lot slower, you can't even see the timer, and everything feels more compact.
R.I.P. the one Pikmin I lost because my aim is the worst.
But yeah, as someone who isn't really a fan of Pikmin (mostly due to certain game mechanics-- not the general aesthetic. Give me a game that is like a cross between Pikmin and Chibi-Robo, that would be nice), this is probably the most fun I've had with a Pikmin game.
