Pikmin 9-Day Challenge - Day 3 (Part 2)
12The yellow pikmin did not want to cooperate with me this day. The next day is the big growing day, so deaths aren't too much of a problem here anyways.
The big tasks of the day include killing those Shearwigs by the blue onion, killing Puffstool, and destroying several gates which will be used both now and when we come back later.
The Shearwigs aren't a problem really unless you are going for a no-death game, in which case they are a serious pain in the ass. Otherwise, you just have to make sure they don't kill a yellow pikmin.
Completing this day in the time limit isn't very difficult at all, the only problem is the multiple things that can go wrong. The yellow pikmin love to screw this day up, by either throwing their rocks at the wrong time or by trying to follow you into the water, which makes their rock disappear and forces a restart.
However once all the yellow pikmin stuff is over with, all that's left is some blue pikmin work. We have to make sure to put the rest of the pikmin on the two remaining gates as soon as possible though, the first so the blue pikmin don't get stuck and the second so we don't have to worry about it later. Trust me that gate takes for freaking ever.
And by the way I suffered another mysterious death in part 1 at 6:06 when Puffstool flipped.

This is the Pikmin 9-Day Challenge. In this challenge I will be completing Pikmin in 9 in-game days, which are approximately 13 minutes. There are 30 parts to collect, and the first and last parts must be collected on the first and last days respectively, so that leaves 7 days to collect 28 parts.
There are no exceptions or underlying rules in this challenge, if the counter at the end of the game says you did it in 9 days, you have completed the challenge.
