Playing the Nintendo Switch on a 144" Floating Screen using Quest 3 #metaquest #explorewithquest
Equipment I am using directly connected to the Quest 3:
HDMI to USB-C (USB3.0) capture card
HDMI Cable
Nintendo Switch docked
Android app called USB Camera

I sideloaded an Android app called USB Camera using SideQuest. Turned off WiFi before starting the app to get rid of on screen ads. Then clicked the screen to get rid of on screen icons.
USB3.0 capture card provides 60fps. USB 2.0 shows as 30fps when tested. Also changed settings to use YUY2 instead of MJPG for less compression and a higher quality image.
No emulation. Just a direct connection from the Switch dock all the way to the headset using equipment mentioned above. I do use an USB3.0 hub, 30w PD charger, and USB3.0 extention cords to make things easy to connect fast and charge the headset at the same time. Took a lot of trial and error to get things right but I like the fast setup with no PC needed in between.
I measured the screen using a cable (to follow the curve with) and measuring tape. It's very close to 144" diagonal length when stretched to it's maximum size.
