Plutonia Experiment.. Oh this one, This is the wad, out of two that comprises of "Final Doom" that pisses me the fuck off so much.. Why is Plutonia Experiment so infamous you say? Well at the time in 1996 no one had seen a wad like it, Dario and Milo Casali made 32 BRUTALLY hard levels.. Sure Doom and Doom II was pretty hard on Ultra Violence if you weren't a veteran player but this was different.. EVEN on I'm too young to die this wad was punishing alone, I started this after watching Civvie11's Pro Doom Plutonia Experiment video and wondered just how hard it could be? ...Trust me it is.

Congo, the first map is much much different from most starter maps, You will be attacked by Shotgunners immediately, Supershotgun is in a trap with a arch-vile in a box, Rocket launcher is guarded on Hurt Me Plenty by Demons and on Ultra-Violence by Revenants, But that's not the worst part.. Going where the chaingunners are reveals the first trick that Plutonia uses a lot:Arch-Viles reviving dead enemies, This Wad has a fetish about that..

Well of Souls showcases the Casali Brother's usage of ambushes with Chaingunners, Spectres, Lost Souls and Hell Knights, So far the wad hasn't gone full nuclear just yet.. The invisible bridge at the red key switch near the end is another thing that was unexpected at the time, The problems and endurance doesn't even begin to pick up until the next level...

Aztec is where Plutonia Experiment yanks the rug from under you with a large amount of ambushes, Red key is the worst one, The end where Chaingunners then Revenants and then Pain Elementals appear isn't all that bad anymore, Caged is similar to Doom II's "The Abandoned Mines" with some annoying parts and a surprise trap that places hell knights beside chaingunners who can't move unless a switch is hit.

...And then, We enter Ghost Town (A really cliche name), This map SUCKS, If you start with a pistol you'll only have a shotgun to deal with two barons and two revenants which I run past, The whole level is a fucking shooting gallery with Chaingunners, Shotgunners, Mancubuses, A Spider Mastermind, Arachnotrons, and two hidden arch-viles, This level is where the traps REALLY begin to pile up.

Baron's Lair and Caughtyard couldn't be more different from one another, Baron's Lair has a strange "Voodoo Doll" trick that gives you some really good weapons at the beginning, First cyberdemon of the wad appears near the end which isn't bad? Though the ammo surplus in this map still doesn't make it any easier against Scum Revenants who fire homing missiles from far away, Caughtyard is one of 5 infamous levels of Plutonia Experiment as it plays kind of like "Dead Simple", Mancubuses everywhere, Revenants in monster closets, chaingunners, and Arachnotrons behind the fort you are in.. A real pain.

Realm isn't really that hard if you take your time, The difficulty comes from just a single trap at the end with Revenants and Arch-Viles, The Blue key trap doesn't really faze me like it did with Chaingunners in front and behind teleporting, ...But then we enter the Abattoir(e), The "Slaughterhouse" in French, This is where the game begins to really get nasty, Abbatoire has a lot of chaingunners, You get bum rushed by a Cacodemon and Spectres in the start, You need all 3 keys to get to the exit...Dear god, It's a fucking madhouse with Chaingunners, Revenants, Imps, Arachnotrons, Mancubuses, and Two barons of hell, This isn't as bad as Civvie11 said it was, Patience though, was being to run out with the next level.

..Onslaught, Here's where I was starting to get mad.. This level has a chaingunner behind you as you start, This one has a SPAWN TRAP TRAP, You have Chaingunners appearing from monster closets, You have another closet with Revenants, A open courtyard that have windows with Chaingunners and another nasty surprise:Arch-Viles that will keep reviving them, It's here I was beginning to really lose it but I managed to get bellow to the sewer area, Part 2 picks up where I left off.
