I hope you have a very good sense of direction because this track is anything but a straight line.

Megapol is the 28th track of Pod. It takes place in a gigantic urban area, similar to DownTown, Galleria or Alderon. However it clearly stands out from all the other urban circuits of the game. Why is it so special? Because it is a real labyrinth! Everything is made to get lost: complex interchanges, numerous side paths, dead-end streets... Even the billboards can easily mislead you. Of course, being an urban circuit also means that it features a lot of flat 90 degree corners and U-turns.

You can also find here and there some nice shortcuts even though here the term does not mean much... The first "shortcut" [0:26] requires going fairly fast to jump over the backup route below. Shortly after that, another nice trick [0:32] to avoid sliding on the oil slicks. After the second pass on the straightaway [0:59] you can ignore the detour route and jump over the platform through the barrels or, if you have a heavy vehicle, slow down and go through the little gap between the platform and the robot arm. It's not nearly as elegant but at least it is still more efficient than the regular route.

Megapol is a vast, highly complex road network that, once you get familiar with it, turns out to be a very fun race to play. Hah, if only the AI was not that annoying...
