Nuzlocke Rules:
1. Any Pokemon that faints in any way is considered dead, and it can never be used again. All dead Pokemon will be placed in a specific PC Box and never be withdrawn.
2. I can only catch the very first Pokemon encountered in any given route or area. Gift Pokemon count. The summary of a Pokemon tells what area it was found at. Even if I encounter a Pokemon I have already caught, it is still the only one I am allowed for the area. This does not take effect until the player has Poké Balls and can catch Pokémon. For example, the Poochyena/Zigzagoon that the player has to save Professor Birch from is not counted as the first encounter on the route, and not counting any other encounters as such until they can catch. Likewise, in the games where the rival battle is immediately after getting the starter Pokémon, the "any that faint must be released" rule is not enforced at that time.
