Hey Everyone! I'm Holly Conrad, aka Commander Holly! You may know me from SyFy's Heroes of Cosplay.
Beckii just visited from the Isle of Man, and on her last day in the States, I wanted to show her Echo Park, a neighborhood on the east side in Los Angeles which is home to Time Travel Mart and Stories coffee shop, a couple of my favorite spots!
We challenged ourselves to find cosplay costumes in just one day using stores in that neighborhood. Sure, cosplays CAN take forever and be really intricate, but why not just have fun with it? We decided to make casual cosplay costumes for Pokemon trainers Misty and Serena. They're cute, not too difficult to replicate, and qualify as awesome street wear in my book. We hit up Out of the Closet, the local thrift store, and American Apparel. In our one outing, we found everything we needed for our casual costumes and made a fun day of it!
