4Hardcore Nuzlocke Challenge in Pokémon FireRed! In this video, I attempt a Pokémon Hardcore Nuzlocke challenge in Pokémon FireRed! For those that don't know, a nuzlocke is made to make Pokémon games harder, and a hardcore nuzlocke makes it even more hardcore.
I have been playing Pokémon since I was a kid, and Pokémon FireRed is up there as one of my favorites, which is why I decided to play Pokémon FireRed in a Hardcore Nuzlocke.
My goal with this channel, and with these videos, is to learn more about Pokémon, and hopefully teach YOU something you didn't know, so that we can all get closer to becoming the Pokémon Masters our childhood selves always wished to be! This includes learning what each ability does, understanding AI mechanics of each Pokémon game, and much more! If you'd like to learn more about Pokémon, or just love watching Pokémon content, this is the place to be!
Beating EVERY vanilla Pokémon game in a Hardcore Nuzlocke is one of my goals, so I hope you will join me, on this Pokémon adventure, in becoming a Pokémon Master!
Nuzlocke rules:
- Fainted Pokémon MUST be RELEASED
- Only the first encounter on any given route may be caught (no duplicates allowed)
- All pokemon MUST be nicknamed
Dupes Clause: In normal nuzlockes, if the first Pokémon in an area is one the player already owns, they may continue battling until they encounter one they do not own, and then attempt to catch it.

In MY version: A duplicate means that I CANNOT continue battling for a new encounter. In other words, if my first encounter is a pidgey on Route 111, but I already caught one, than I can no longer catch ANY Pokémon in Route 111. This makes it so that there are fewer Pokémon available to choose from and use.
Hardcore Rules:
- No items in battle (only held)
- Highest Pokémon Level cannot be higher than the next gym leader's highest LVL Pokémon
