First storyboard:
This one is all about what happened before Skylar and Grovyle travel to the past to stop the planets paralysis. They are part of the Planetary Exploration Team which strive to help pokemon overcome the 'darkness' and live as normal of a life as possible. This was done with the light of the final Time Gear however the final Time Gear was destroyed by Dusknoir. Skylar brings up the idea to change the past but Lucario and Mismagius prefer to keep things as it is. After a few things happen they finally agree to let her and Grovyle go back to the past. Skylar uses the shards of the shattered Gear to find the locations of the other while Grovyle convinces Celebi to help them. They are attacked by Dusknoir in a final attempt to stop them but they successfully make it to the Passage of Time.

Okay so this is where the AU part comes into it a little more.
Right after Grovyle forces Dusknoir back to the future. Skylar is extremely upset and Char cheers her up with words of encouragement (in an old lady voice). He collects all the Time Gears and gives them to Skylar. The Gears begin to glow and with all of them in Skylar's possession she starts to regain her memories. With the previous determination she had and memories of people she left behind in the future she devotes everything she has to getting the Time Gears to the Temporal Pinnacle and stopping Primal Dialga.
