Yorgos Lanthimos' Poor Things was announced as the winner of best production design at this year's Academy Awards ceremony.
Giant composite sets were constructed to create retro-futuristic versions of cities such as Paris, Lisbon and London. Production designers Shona Heath and James Price mixed together architectural styles like neo-classicism, art nouveau and baroque to create the film's unique visual language. Set designer Zsuzsa Mihalek was also nominated alongside the pair for her work on the film.
