9The game's plot marks a return to the Sands of Time continuity following the series' attempted reboot with 2008's Prince of Persia,[9] and serves as a direct sequel to the events of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. It follows the Prince as he attempts to re-imprison Solomon's Army, which has been unleashed upon the kingdom of his brother, Malik, turning its inhabitants into sand statues.
Forgotten Sands is available on all major gaming platforms and features "...many of the fan-favorite elements from the original series as well as new gameplay innovations," according to a press release from Ubisoft. The DS, PSP and Wii versions were developed separately and feature different gameplay than the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows versions.[8] Using Ubisoft's Uplay feature, players can unlock the outfit of Ezio Auditore da Firenze from Assassin's Creed II.
