You train then go to other schools and fight a series of fights with wood sticks and different swords. Then at the end of a series of fights you fight the dojo teacher, and if you win you unlock him as a playable character in arcade / versus mode. Also has a few ok mini-game training exercises that improve your characters abilities. You can load him for play in arcade / versus play. The original Bushido Blade (Ps1) involved 1 hit kills basically, so this is a sequal of sorts to that and really hits the mark. Characters have 1-2 forms (maybe some have 1-4) and you can get 1-4 stances for your character. Xbox has a similar game. I forgot the name but it is in my youtube favorites though. Some are fast and others are not, and you start out slow so you have to stick with it cause it gets good once you get past the single form attack which turns into a series of fights that are very repetitive. Being an old game you have to trial and error new forms and swords for what type of fight you want to fight, slow swings, fast powerful swings or more single stab sort of forms. Each form and character also has a different "finisher" which doesn't always hit an opponent as a Mortal Kombat Finisher would, so you can get beat if they side step you, so you really have to time the set up and execution of your power attack / finisher. You can see in the first fight at the start of the video that I tried to do a finisher first thing.
