Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty (QfB) is primarily a shooter
with some elements of platforming. It was developed by Insomniac Games
and released in 2008. QfB is the second part of the "Future" trilogy in
the R&C franchise, with all three parts released on the PS3.
QfB takes off right after Tools of Destruction and serves as a short
interlude between that and the next game and follows Ratchet and
Talwyn as they try to find out where Clank went.
The core gameplay, as always in R&C, is lots of weapons in various
levels of ridiculousness. Since this game is much shorter than the
other two, the upgrading system is simplied a lot (no shops
available) and not all weapons from the first game make an appearance
either. No RYNO. :(
Since this is such a short game, with no "New Game+" of any kind, I
didn't bother to use all weapons enough to upgrade them to max. I did
get all the optional upgrades that are found in the world, though. -
