PUBG Mobile New Anti-Cheat System to Curb Cheating on the Platform | Everything need to know
Back in January, Tencent Games added some anti-cheat measures to ensure fair gameplay by banning players accounts or their IDs. The company also started revealing the names of banned players from time to time. It looks like PUBG Mobile is further taking a stand to ensure fair and fun gameplay by imposing a 10-year ban for players found cheating. PUBG Mobile has revealed a list of over 3,500 players that are banned for using hacks and cheats in the game.
In a press note, PUBG Mobile said, "PUBG MOBILE says, "We have always strived to deliver a gaming environment that is fair and enjoyable for each and every player and prevent cheating. We take this issue very seriously; as such, each account in violation has received a 10-year ban. We would like to remind all players about the importance of fair play, and thank you for keeping PUBG MOBILE fair and fun."
Along with this, the developer has also requested players to report using the built-in Report feature of the game if they suspect any player cheating or using an unauthorized third-party app to gain undue advantage in the game. The studio has also ensured players that they investigate every report thoroughly to ensure fair gameplay.
"We will continue to enforce stringent discipline against cheaters and publish the IDs of confirmed cheaters," said PUBG Mobile.
For those unaware of how to report a player, follow these steps
At the game's lobby page
Tap on the 'Invite' button and go to 'Recent' section
Tap on the player's name and copy his profile name or ID
Select the option 'Report'.
Now, select the checkbox 'Others' by tapping on it
Mention the issue along with the Player ID or nickname.
Hit the 'Submit' button to initiate the process
There's also a way to report players during the match. Simply tap on Report button from the top-right corner and choose the right option and submit.
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has been suffering from a serious hacker infestation for a year now and it seems like pest control is only waking up now. Apparently, the newly announced anti-cheat system will ban users' hardware permanently.
Anti-cheat software is designed to prevent players of online games from gaining unfair advantage through the use of third-party tools, usually taking the form of software hooks. It is challenged to run securely in an aggressively hostile environment.
