Map 64 - As Above So Below by Jerrysheppy
A magnificent looking map with some clever tricks up its sleeve. First time I played this my mind had a meltdown and I got stuck at some point. But here in the second playthrough everything made sense, although it did help that I had prior knowledge of how the map works. Not that it doesn't give you plenty of hints about the above and the below, but it's hard to wrap your mind around some less conventional ideas in wads sometimes. Hmm, so this is how people might feel when they are playing my maps? Oh well, lol.
Anyway, had no difficulties this time around, monster encounters were also easy enough on HMP up until the area where it shouldn't be. Didn't want to make the video too long though so I got out of there and finished the map. Might have a revisit off camera at a later point. Marveled a lot at the detailing and architecture of this map, which was fun. Text was a little bit wordy at times (sorry, I'm a horrible reader when playing Doom. Also when not playing Doom) but it did make the map as a whole come together so story time is fine in this case.

Map 93 - The Doomgeon by Fonk
I needed a short little pallette cleanser after the large previous map and The Doomgeon fitted the bill perfectly. Small little dungeon map with some fun surprises on the road. No big challenges, just a fun winding map where roads circle around in a nice and easy way. These are the kind of quick and easy maps that RAMP also needs and I love them.

The game is centered around a hub level, with completion of the submitted maps allowing players to progress in the hub. This was an event to encourage people from inside and outside the community to dip into Doom/GZDoom mapping and to give them the chance to be part of a wider project.
