Challenge details:
Cannot get any Galleons (this includes Heavy Galleons, of course)
Cannot use any of the mates I normally use in the speedrun (Marco, Nicolas, Jose, Roberto, and Miguel)

This means I'm limited to Carracks, which reduces my trading power and are weaker than Galleons in battle (only 2/3 of the cannon power and less durability). The mate restriction means the only two mates in Europe that I can get at the start are 2 of the worst mates in the game, and to get any more, I'd have to raise my sail levels and/or sail to Africa.

Let me know how I did! I often get comments about how the way I speedrun these games reduces the challenge, so I'm going to do a few challenges and see what y'all think. If it's weaksauce, let me know :D
