RE5: I have to unlock Mercenaries AGAIN!?!? "Speed"run (Requested by Dr. Noah Body)
8AKA "How to unlock Mercenaries and Mercenaries Reunion as QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE on RE5 PC"
I get it. You ended this game millions of times.....You got it again on another platform (most likely PC like I did) cuz you love it but CAPCOM keeps making your life miserable when all you wanna do is go and play mercs but you have to go through the WHOLE game again to reach the promised land that you already found. There's no game saves you can use, No cheat codes, no trainers........WHAT DO YOU DO!?!??!?!............this is what you do.
All you need is ...

Now to start off... You cannot just jump to the last level, Finish the game and call it a day. You have to finish every last stage of every chapter. You can finish the game and unlock Mercenaries and Mercenaries Reunion within just 1 HOUR if done without mistakes or getting held back.
___TUTORIAL___
***Step 1 "Setup on Trainer" ***
On the "Characters" Tab, use the highest speed for both Characters, especially yourself (1000). Click on "Set Speed" than check the boxes "P1 Freeze Size/Speed" and "P2 Freeze Size/Speed"
- Enable Infinite Ammo
- Enable One Hit Kill
- Enable Invincibility for both P1 and P2
*** Step 2 "Finish 1-1" ***
Finish the first level of the game all up until the Helicopter shows up.
*** Step 3 "I need 2-1 to finish 1-2?" ***
On the bottom of the trainer. select 2-1 and also check in "Freeze Stage". Go to Chapter Select in the game 1-2. Once the session starts. Pause the game and exit. This time you're going to select "Continue in the menu. When you get to the inventory screen....select the last part of 1-2 on the trainer and remove "Freeze Stage". When it starts, Leave the game once again and
then start it up with Continue again. Finish the boss and the level. Always choose Endgame when given the choice of continuing the game or go back to main menu.
*** Step 4 "2-1 IS THE KEY!" ***
Whenever you finish a level, You always:
(Chapter Select , pick 2-1 , At inventory screen pick last level of chapter + check freeze stage , uncheck freeze stage when it starts , quit game , Continue.)
Rinse and Repeat until you end all the chapters and end the game.
___IMPORTANT NOTES___
- For Chapter 2-3 Boss Fight DISABLE "One Hit Kill" or you'll only be One Hit Killing yourself lol. You can select Freeze on "Vehicle Health" and Cool on "Gun Turrets" if you want. You can enable One hit kill again after you finish that stage.
- For Chapter 4-1, When you start.....set the speed on your character back to 100. There will be A Run away Quicktime event and if you keep it at 1000, you will run too damn fast and run yourself off the cliff. You can put the speed back up when you get through the Quicktime event.
- For Chapter 5-3 Jill Only Boss Fight....DISABLE ONE HIT KILL....OR YOU'LL KILL JILL. This might not be necessary but maybe removing the speed might make the process quicker lol. I haven't tested but watching the animations with high velocity is entertainment xD.
- If you haven't been doing so already....skip the cutscenes every opportunity you get save a lot of time....even after each successful quicktime execution, you can skip to the next one until there's no more and the cutscene is done.
___FUN FACTS___
- The first chapter of this game "1-1" is actually the longest part of this whole "speedy unlock mercs" run. This is because you have no control of the time and have to wait for progress like holding out until Kirk gets there with the choppa. 2nd place goes to El Gigante 2.0 Boss fight in 2-3
- 4-1 only looks like it might take the longest but you have complete control of the time and progress. The only thing that can make things slower for you are mistakes and not knowing where to go.
- Chapter 5-1 is the quickest level in the whole game and run. You only need 3-5 seconds to complete it lol.
- Using Wilsonso's trainer and these methods....I ended the game 4 times within 4 hours on 4 different GFWL accounts for the sake of not using "Christine" game save and providing with 4 different mercs/vs-ready accounts for people to use to play online on Tunngle or for me and my friends to splitscreen on my PC. People who both use "Christine" game save profile can't play online with each other....not even in LAN.
- For anybody's whose tired of playing through this entire game to unlock mercs and etc after so many times......This is actually a fun, refreshing new way to do it. It was for me
- This might be the 4th or 5th time i've had to unlock Mercenaries for myself. Due to the fact that PC finally got the Gold Edition but you couldn't play Merc Reunion right away like on the console. I might've bought this game 3 times now.
