Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge - Testing & Comparing Walls
1,221Walls are often used as an obstacle to enemy forces. Usually in every strategy game, factions may have different bonuses for walls thus, some have stronger and some have weaker.
In Red Alert2 Walls don't have any difference between each other except their appearance. The statistics show that they are identical so basically there's no reason to compare each other.
While in most cases this is useless, Allied and Soviet factions can replace a damaged wall part by building a new on top of it. This however, does not work with Yuri's walls. In Yuri's case you have to sell the damaged part and build the new wall in an empty spot.
Walls work differently than structures. It's quite unknown how exactly they work but they must have a percentage to block damage. That means that sometimes they instantly break and sometimes it takes too many shoots to bring them down. Considering this, it's quite impossible to make a proper testing since each time you will get different results.
Since all walls have the same durability it was also quite pointless to make an intense testing. Even if they had different statistics, as explained above, it would still be impossible to get proper results.
Lastly, in the video you can also see which units, vehicles and defenses can attack over walls or even damage them.
