Renovating My Garage Floor For Under $200!
100👋 In todays video we show you how to epoxy a garage floor! This isn't really a hard project and is something that will keep your floors sealed, cleaner and also make cleaning much easier! I just bought a new house and so before I move in, this is a perfect time to work on this project! As you can see my garage is pretty close to a standard 2 car with some extra space by the door to enter the house, so I went with the 2.5 car garage kit which was more than enough. I wanted to make sure I had plenty because with epoxy it cures and hardens so once you are done, that's it! You can't go back and add more. You could, but it won't be the same and might look different so you need to do the whole floor at once! The process to epoxy starts with making sure the floor is as clean as possible so the epoxy can cure and stick to the garage floor! We hosed out the garage floor to make sure nothing was stuck to it and whatever was laying on top was rinsed off. Then we used a chemical called TSP, which is an abrasive cleaner and scrubbed that on the floor and then rinsed that out. Then we used the white powder that came with the kit and did the same process making sure to cover the entire floor and scrubbed that well, then rinsed off. From there it was time to start on the epoxy and if you can, have a few friends help in the process because not only is that very helpful, but a fun project to work on together! We started with cutting in all the edges, and then started painting and adding the chips! As you can see, such a difference and looks phenomenal! I would highly recommend doing this to give your garage that livable feel and just makes it look great!
