My basement lights don't all work right. So I decided to replace them with brighter LED replacements. They are not cheap, but they are brighter and use a lot less power.
1. Remove old fluorescent tubes.
2. Remove the wire cover / housing.
3. Remove the ballast
4. Rewire the fixture, hot on one side neutral on the other.
5. Replace wire cover / housing
6. Install LED bars.
