Resident Evil Code: Veronica Fan Remake "Cancelled By Capcom" Just Before Release
An impressive-looking fan remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica has been shut down by Capcom, according to the developers. The incredibly sudden announcement was just made over on the project's Discord, and comes just before the game was set to launch.
While there isn't much information to go on right now, the developers say that this shouldn't be used as evidence of an official Code: Veronica remake being in the works. The reasons given for the cancellation were the use of Capcom-owned characters and the Resident Evil trademark, although there are other fan games that have avoided this legal pressure so far.
