RetroUSB AVS System Review - Addendum
An off-the-cuff take on a few things I forgot/left out of my original AVS system review, including:
- HD CRT testing
- Original NES composite vs. the AVS HDMI
- Sound quality, and support for Famicom games that didn't work properly on a North American NES (i.e., Akumajo Densetsu/Castlevania III and its special sound processor)
- Cats. Because everyone loves cats on the internet.
If you missed the original AVS review, check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgULKi0ZVs8
I also plan on doing a long AVS NES stream tonight here on YouTube, starting sometime hopefully between 8PM and 9PM EST.
I mentioned it in this video, but in the composite + HDMI comparison, keep in mind that my Framemeister is upscaling and de-interlacing the composite footage, so it looks considerably sharper than it will look on any "normal" (non-upscaled/processed) setup.
