Return of the Dark Sorcerer #1 - Extended Introduction
27Return of the Dark Sorcerer is a hack for Final Fantasy 6 by Gi Nattak. New characters, new portraits, rebalanced spells/moves, a new overworld map, new events, and a boosted difficulty level are just some of the features of this hack.

Been awhile since I've done any hardtype hacks, but this hack just got an update quite recently and I figured it'd be time to show it off for kicks (even if that new splash screen has a minor spelling error, but that is fixed in the latest update).
Anyways, after a brief scene you get the option to view the standard length opening sequence or an extended one. This video covers the extended version. If you played vanilla, then the general gist of the story is very much the same, just with some changed names here or there.
One interesting thing in the intro...the battle a certain character gets into. It's unwinnable, yes, but doesn't she look familiar?
Yes, that is none other than Tifa of FF7 fame. She won't be the last cameo from another game that will be seen before this journey is over with.
But enough about that. The game actually gets underway next time!
