Universal finally got a handle on how to handle their monster-franchise library: Scrap the "Dark Universe," hand the titles off to Blumhouse and say "Figure something out!" - resulting (at least this first time...) in a tense, nasty sci-fi/horror shocker with some socially-conscious button-pushing on it's mind.
