Risk of Rain Returns: Fix Xbox/PlayStation Controller Stopped Working,Fix Xbox One/PS5 Controller Not Working in Risk of Rain Returns game
Step 1) Restart the game, it should recognize the controller
Step 2) Disable/Enable Steam input
Step 3) Make sure you have your controller on and connected before you launch the game
Step 4) Restart your PC
Step 5) Unplug hotas, wheel, pedals, mouse(ASUS ROG Pugio II/ROG Chakram Core) , Razer Tartarus,unplug raphnet N64 adapter,unplug fanatec shifter,unplug vr devices,unplug my Clone Hero Guitar,unplug Wooting keyboard, plugged disconnect all the additional USB adapter connected to PC, Disconnect multiple monitors, disconnect additional joystick, controllers,Steam Controller, Disable Steam Overlay, close all the overlay apps (Discord, GeForce Experience, Nvidia shadow play overlay, AMD overlay), Close all the overclocking app such as MSI Afterburner, riva tuner etc. Turn off Razer Synapse (razor lighting effects) and MSI Dragon Center, corsair software, end nahimic services & lightingservice.exe in task manager, remove the undervolt, perform clean boot
Step 6) Launch Steam in big picture mode and then launch the game
Step 7) Steam Users: Disable Steam Input, now go to Steam Controller Settings and enable Steam Input for Xbox/PlayStation Controllers- restart the game
Step 8) PS5 Controller users: Try using reWASD /DS4 Windows application
Step 9) Use wired controller
