RogueLite Cell-Shaded FPS, plus Creeping and Gadgets! -- Void Bastards -- #01
Void Bastards is an Indie, RogueLite FPS by Blue Manchu, all about boarding procedurally generated ships in space, creeping and blasting your way through them, all in a quest to score the supplies you need and get out. Exciting!
With gameplay inspired by system shock 2, you use the abilities of your character to overcome the defenses of the ship, and use interesting gadgets to even the odds. You can even turn the very ship systems against your foes, unleashing bots, gun turrets, and even venting corridors into the void, spacing them all. And don’t forget, if things go pear-shaped, you can always just start blasting! But watch you ammo, they never give you enough! Corporate is so Cheap!
Rocking an eye catching cell-shaded, comic book appeal, Void Bastards presents a future corporate dystopia hellscape with flair! The characters you play are a series of prisoners, convicted of any of a multitude of “crimes” against the hell of this existence. And if the unfortunate should occur, a new convict will be thawed out and reconstituted to continue the mission.
Anyway, if you’re looking for a fun, first-person shooter with Procedural generation that encourages forethought and exploration, you’ll likely love Void Bastards. Give it a watch to be sure?
