Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic - Tutorial - A closer look at the coasters of Dragon's Cove
44In this video I show the final designs for the coasters that I built on the Dragon's Cove scenario on Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic.
Some general tips for coaster building scenarios.
- Build a good park first to ensure you have lots of money. The easiest way to build an exciting coaster is to chuck lots of money at it!
- Avoid making your coasters too intense, if the trains are going fast use sweeping banked turns, use the graph tool!
- Add a single flat straight track piece at various points as these can be quickly swapped for brakes to avoid a redesign.
- Include interactions with scenery, other rides and paths. Also try going underground and over water.
- Include changes of elevation and speed.
- Complete the coasters before worrying about excitement, a coaster that is under the target when you first build it might go over the target once you finish building the other coasters and their paths.
- They don't have to be pretty, just exciting.
- Test the coaster with only one train so you can work on others whilst it is testing without worrying about crashes.
