Around 100 years ago, the town decided to open a mining area somewhere outside the borders. It became known as Amethyst Mine. However, around a year old successful mining operations, there was a terrible accident and about 85% of the people who worked there died. It was closed due to excessive deaths for safety reasons. Yet a while after closing, people purchased the land and reformed the landscape to create an amusement park. They build a large inverted coaster over the mine and named the coaster, "Amethyst Mine", after the mine itself.
