Producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura says the ROTB is a sequel to the Bumblebee movie and a prequel to Bayverse. If there was a prequel to Bayverse it can be from ROTB but has to be done this way. I present my theory explained by me Snoke Spinal Tap.
This theory explains how ROTB can be a prequel. It can only work as a prequel of Bayverse to explain how Unicron becomes earth. It has to be seen as a multiverse to do so.
