Explore the far reaches of the Caribbean in search of the ultimate fortune and gloryโฆ Republic of Pirates is a pirate-themed city builder and real-time strategy game set in the Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy (late-17th century). You are tasked with creating your own โRepublic of Piratesโ by founding a settlement on a remote island and constructing buildings, industries, and infrastructure to address the needs of your growing population of increasingly affluent and skilled pirate citizens. As your city expands, you will recruit captains, construct different classes of ships, and dispatch your fleet to explore and conquer the local archipelago. Ships can be commanded in real time to attack merchants, engage other pirates, and even national trading companies. However, these actions will not go unnoticed, and so you must navigate diplomatic relationships while also being prepared to defend your shores from enemy attack. Republic of Pirates also supports several gameplay modes which offer different experiences. In campaign mode, you will work to complete quests during a narrative-driven campaign. Free play mode offers a less prescriptive experience, with additional maps to explore, configurable difficulty settings, and settlement development linked to reaching key population milestones as opposed to completing story quests. Grow your pirate settlement - Which incorporates classic city building, resource production, and workforce management. Command your fleet - Which incorporates fleet building and real-time naval combat. Expand your influence across the archipelago - Which incorporates conquering islands, conducting diplomacy with rival factions, and building additional settlements.
