For those wondering, yes I was being sarcastic/in character when I made all those "broke/bling" comments. The point of all that was to show the path that modern gaming is taking.

It's actually nothing new and this trend has been well on its way for a long time now, but that's all the more reason to joke about it. Humor is a coping mechanism after all. :)

The character I was going into when making those comments is more or less meant to represent the "clueless consumer" who doesn't realize how badly their psychology is being manipulated and taken advantage of when they buy microtransactions in most games.

I forgot to include this before ending my stream, but my own thoughts and feelings when it comes to buying these one-time microtransactions for myself boils down to this:

RE4 Remake is legendary and I wanna support it as much as I possibly can, but unfortunately buying the tickets has the secondary effect of ALSO supporting the practice of MTX (Microtransactions) in general as well as MTX that help give you an advantage over other players that may not be able to afford them.

So to say that I feel conflicted would be an understatement lol.

Another perspective that's been shared by another streamer, however, is the idea that a lot of casual players might not have the time or ability to grind out the S+ the hard way to unlock the rewards so this acts as a sort of accessibility option albeit at a price (paying extra to make the game a bit easier).

This is valid reasoning as, if the tickets had been available for purchase on day one, they definitely would've saved ME 2 weeks of grinding the game out for the S+ and almost burning out on it (Obviously Capcom held them back to avoid controversy during the first two weeks of the game's release).

And well, look, the tickets still ended up saving me a lot time and potential frustration/misery even now as I likely would not have achieved the S+ rank on the first try without them so there you have it!

At the end of the day it all boils down to personal choice: Buy the tickets if you want them or don't buy them if you don't want them and don't give a fuck what anyone else thinks of you either way. Simple as that, kupo~! :3
