Samsung S95B Firmware 1430 Calibrated Game Mode HDR 4 Way Comparison - Brightness Hack Measurements
19This is a first run, calibrated look on Firmware 1430. Delta Error was under 3% (at 2.1%), which leaves room for more tweaking to lower the error rate. Keep in mind anything under 3% is not perceivable by the human eye. I have also included Brightness Nit Measurements for my Custom Service Menu Brightness Hack that is also Calibrated. You will find very similar Game HDR Brightness numbers (With HGIG on or Off) to the 2023 Samsung S95C here in most windows, some of which are brighter than the S95C's Nit measurements (SO FAR) and only 50 nits off from the S95C's full field brightness (not much visually).
Regarding The Custom Service Menu Brightness Hack Settings Information, I'm not going to disclose that, at least not at this time because I don't want anyone to cause damage to their S95B. I can tell you all that my settings are different from the "service menu brightness hack info" out on the internet. I calibrated my S95B myself and can watch and monitor certain parameters that the average consumer cannot. Calibration is also keeping a lot of things in check for me to run this fairly safely (in all picture modes), but at this time, all I can safely recommend for more Game Mode HDR Brightness is to turn HGIG (Game Mode Settings - HDR Tone Mapping - Game HDR) Off.
