Schattenfall" is an atmospheric black metal band hailing from Beckum, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Formed in 2017, the band consists of Vladimir Bauer on guitars and bass (also known from his involvement in bands like Inhumanity and White Ward), Evgen Karamushko on drums (who is also a member of White Ward), and Ragnar on vocals (previously involved in projects such as Demersus ad Nihilum and Theotoxin).
Their music delves into themes of death, paganism, poetry, and solitude, crafting an atmospheric journey that reflects these themes. With influences from various musical realms, including black metal and possibly folk elements, Schattenfall's sound is likely to be a blend of intense riffing, haunting melodies, and atmospheric textures.
Their latest full-length album, released independently on Bandcamp on March 20th, 2024, further explores these themes and musical elements.
