Scud Race - 4 Player Panoramic attract mode using Supermodel Network
The very clever Spindizzi over at the Supermodel forum has managed to get Daytona USA 2 and Scud Race running in multiplayer network form in Supermodel, the Sega Model 3 emulator.
You can get the network build from here: http://www.supermodel3.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1430&start=180#p14619
At present there is only a 32bit build and in order to run it you need the command '-no-threads', which means the emulator is not able to use the PCs multiple cores. The result of this is that the emulator is running on only one CPU core which unfortunately slows it down quite a bit, on top of the additional strain of multiple versions of Supermodel running simultaneously and taxing the CPU even further. If you don't use the -no-threads option the emulators crash. When I play this normally in single player mode with multi-threading (i.e. using all the cores), the game runs full speed at 60fps. Here, using only a single core, it's running around 20 - 30fps. I sped it back up to full speed in the final video edit and replaced the laggy audio.
